Private Jet St Moritz to Brno

The route from St Moritz to Brno covers around 321 nautical miles, linking the storied Engadine resort with the Moravian capital in roughly forty-five minutes. St Moritz is served by the high-altitude runway at Engadin Airport, one of the loftiest in Europe, whose setting rewards aircraft with strong performance in thin mountain air, so a light jet such as the Embraer Phenom 300 or the Cessna Citation CJ4 is a sound choice. These aircraft climb briskly to around 41,000 feet once clear of the peaks, tracking north-east across the Alps and into the Czech lands, and where conditions demand a helicopter can assist with the transfer between resort and runway. On arrival at Brno-Turany Airport, travellers exchange the glittering lakes and slopes of the Engadine for a city of quiet cultural interest. Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic and the capital of Moravia, home to the modernist Villa Tugendhat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and to Spilberk Castle, whose fortifications overlook the old town. The vineyards of South Moravia surround the city, giving the region a relaxed and hospitable character that contrasts with the rarefied Alpine air left behind. This route suits travellers moving between a winter season in one of the world most exclusive resorts and business or leisure interests in Central Europe, particularly those who value the ability to operate from a demanding mountain airfield. For guests accustomed to the refined seclusion of St Moritz, the flight to Brno offers a fittingly discreet continuation of the journey, arranged around their own schedule and delivered with the attentive service of an experienced charter throughout.
