Private Jet Antalya to Akron

Antalya Airport, the gateway to Turkey’s sun-drenched Mediterranean coast, is the departure point for a sector of roughly 4,835 nautical miles to Akron. A Gulfstream G550 or Bombardier Global 6000 covers the distance in a single hop, cruising near 45,000 feet for a transit of around nine hours across Europe and the North Atlantic. Antalya’s old town, Kaleici, with its narrow Ottoman-era streets tumbling down to a Roman harbour, sits only minutes from the thundering Duden waterfalls and some of the busiest beach resorts on the Turkish Riviera. Akron, at the far end of the route, offers an altogether different landscape, a Midwestern city whose fortunes were built on rubber and tyre manufacturing rather than Mediterranean tourism. Arriving guests often make for Stan Hywet Hall’s gardens or the wooded ravines of Cuyahoga Valley National Park, both close to Akron-Canton Airport, with the Akron Art Museum downtown for a shorter stop. Given the distance and the several-hour time change involved, most operators recommend building in a short rest period before any same-day commitments. This pairing suits travellers wrapping up a Turkish Riviera season before returning to Midwest business, as well as those who prefer a single long-range sector over the multiple connections a scheduled itinerary from this part of Turkey would otherwise require. Antalya’s status as one of the busiest charter airports in the Mediterranean during peak summer months also means private terminal handling there is generally fast and well organised, even at the height of the season, when commercial traffic through the main terminal can slow everything else to a crawl.
