Private Jet Cleveland to Cavallo

Cleveland’s three main airfields, Hopkins International, Burke Lakefront and Cuyahoga County, give Northeast Ohio travellers flexible departure options for the roughly 3,890 nautical mile journey to Cavallo. A heavy business jet suits the distance comfortably, with the Gulfstream G550 or Bombardier Global 6000 able to fly the crossing without a fuel stop, cruising at altitudes up to around 45,000 feet where the ride tends to be smoother and more efficient than at lower levels. Cavallo, part of the Lavezzi archipelago off southern Corsica, has no runway of its own, so arrival is via Figari-Sud Corse followed by a short transfer onto the island. There, the landscape is defined by granite and open water: no cars, sandy paths between private villas, and shallow turquoise coves overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio towards Sardinia. The nearby citadel town of Bonifacio, its buildings stacked along dramatic limestone cliffs above an old harbour, offers an easy half-day excursion for restaurants or a walk along the ramparts. Travellers from Lake Erie’s shoreline, already familiar with a large body of water on their doorstep, will find Cavallo’s clarity and colour a considerable step beyond anything the Great Lakes offer. This route suits Cleveland-area guests planning an extended Mediterranean stay, whether joining a yacht in the strait or settling into a private villa, with the aircraft’s range making the long eastbound crossing entirely manageable in a single comfortable leg from any of the region’s three fields. The choice between Clevelands three fields largely comes down to runway length and FBO preference, with each capable of supporting a long-range departure of this scale without difficulty.
