Private Jet Edmonton to Overland Park

Edmonton and Overland Park lie approximately 1,173 nautical miles apart, a distance well suited to light and mid-size jets such as the Citation CJ4 or Bombardier Challenger 350, or a turboprop like the Pilatus PC-12 given the moderate range required. Edmonton International Airport serves Alberta’s capital, a city built on oil sands wealth to the north and home to West Edmonton Mall, once the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the world, complete with an indoor water park and amusement rides. Cruising near 41,000 feet across the northern plains, the flight typically takes a little over two hours gate to gate. Arrival at Johnson County Executive Airport brings passengers directly into Overland Park, a Kansas City suburb whose office parks host a growing cluster of healthcare technology and financial services firms, supported by strong public schools and low-density, tree-lined neighbourhoods. This pairing suits oil sands and energy sector executives with interests spanning northern Alberta’s resource economy and Midwestern industrial partners, as well as private travellers who prefer a direct sector to the connection through Denver or Minneapolis that a scheduled itinerary between these two markets would otherwise require, given the limited nonstop commercial service currently available between the two cities. The West Edmonton Mall alone draws visitors from across the province, complete with a full-size ice rink and an amusement park under its roof. Edmonton’s river valley park system, one of the longest urban greenways in North America, offers a striking contrast to the mall’s more manufactured attractions. The city’s Fringe Festival, one of the largest of its kind in North America, fills its Old Strathcona district each summer.
