Private Jet Exumas to Chula Vista

The Exumas to Chula Vista route spans approximately 2,233 nautical miles, comfortably within range of a mid-size or super-mid jet such as the Gulfstream G280 or Challenger 350, cruising near 41,000 feet for a nonstop crossing of around four and a quarter hours over the Gulf of Mexico and the American Southwest. Departure is from Exuma Airport, serving a chain of over 365 cays celebrated for some of the clearest turquoise water anywhere in the Bahamas, including the famous swimming pigs of Big Major Cay that have become something of a modern tourism phenomenon. The aircraft arrives into Brown Field Municipal Airport, a general aviation field in southern Chula Vista offering a straightforward, private entry point well away from the congestion of San Diego’s larger commercial terminal. Chula Vista’s mild, coastal climate and expanding Bayfront resort district give arriving guests a more developed coastal welcome after the Exumas’ famously undeveloped island chain, while the historic Third Avenue Village offers an easy, walkable first stop. This route is used chiefly by yacht owners and charter guests exploring the Exuma Cays, along with vacationing families and owners of the increasing number of private island properties scattered throughout the chain. Given how limited scheduled service is between the Exumas and San Diego, typically requiring at least one connection through Florida, a nonstop private charter offers a considerable saving in both total travel time and overall convenience. Beyond the swimming pigs, the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park protects a substantial stretch of the island chain as a no-take marine reserve, helping preserve the exceptional water clarity that draws boaters from across the Caribbean and beyond. Georgetown, the islands’ main settlement, hosts a well-known cruising regatta each spring that fills the harbour with visiting yachts.
