Private Jet Hailey to Horseshoe Bay Resort

Covering approximately 1,095 nautical miles, Hailey to Horseshoe Bay Resort is a route best flown by a super mid-size jet such as the Challenger 350, which offers the range and cabin comfort needed for the roughly two-and-a-half-hour crossing. Friedman Memorial Airport, serving the Sun Valley area, sits in a mountain valley that demands careful performance planning, and jets departing here typically climb quickly to clear the surrounding peaks before settling into cruise near 45,000 feet. Guests leaving the ski slopes and alpine trails around Sun Valley arrive at an entirely different kind of outdoor destination, as Horseshoe Bay Resort’s three golf courses and full-service marina line the shores of Lake LBJ in the Texas Hill Country. The resort’s spa and equestrian centre give visitors further reason to slow down after a season of higher-altitude activity, and Applehead Island offers a quieter corner for those staying in its private villas. Arrival at Horseshoe Bay Resort Airport removes the need for any lengthy transfer, delivering guests to their accommodation within minutes. This pairing suits families and groups who treat Sun Valley and the Texas Hill Country as complementary halves of a longer season, mountains in winter and lake in summer, without the hassle of connecting through a major airport between the two. The relatively direct flight time makes it practical even for a shorter visit, letting travellers spend more of their trip on the ground than in transit. Baggage capacity on the Challenger 350 comfortably handles ski equipment northbound and golf clubs southbound, a practical point for families using both properties across a single season.
