Private Jet Horseshoe Bay Resort to Cavallo

Horseshoe Bay Resort sits roughly 4,927 nautical miles from Cavallo, a distance that firmly favours a heavy business jet, and the Gulfstream G550 is a regular choice for guests departing Horseshoe Bay Resort Airport in the Texas Hill Country. Its range covers the Atlantic crossing with margin to spare, while a cruising altitude close to 45,000 feet keeps the roughly nine and a half hour sector well above weather that might otherwise complicate a more direct routing. Landfall comes at Cavallo, a private granite island within the Lavezzi group, positioned in the narrow, current-swept strait that divides Corsica from Sardinia. The island trades conventional resort infrastructure for something rarer: unpaved paths through Mediterranean scrub and pine, a handful of villas set well apart from one another, and shoreline waters so translucent that swimmers can watch the seabed shift beneath them. Cavallo has never pursued mass tourism, and its owners have kept development tightly restricted, which is precisely why an international circle of repeat visitors continues to return each summer. There is no vehicle traffic and no commercial centre to speak of, only the rhythm of boats coming and going from the small marina and villa terraces catching the evening light. For Texans accustomed to the scale and amenity of Horseshoe Bay, Cavallo offers something closer to a private nature retreat, appealing to travellers who want seclusion without sacrificing comfort. The route works particularly well for families or small groups planning an extended late-summer stay, since the journey’s length rewards settling in for a week or more rather than a brief overnight visit.
