Private Jet Nantucket to Lucerne

Nantucket to Lucerne covers approximately 3,259 nautical miles, a distance well within reach of a super mid-size jet, with the Bombardier Challenger 650 a common choice for this North Atlantic crossing, cruising near 45,000 feet across a flight of roughly six and a quarter hours. Departure is from Nantucket Memorial Airport, a seasonal hub for New England’s summer community, and the routing tracks northeast across the Atlantic before curving into European airspace, the aircraft’s cabin offering enough room for a working session or a proper rest depending on the time of departure chosen. Arrival via Buochs Airport brings guests promptly to Lucerne’s old town, where cobbled lanes not unlike Nantucket’s own historic centre lead down to the covered Chapel Bridge and the lakefront beyond. Where Nantucket’s history is built on whaling and maritime trade, Lucerne’s is rooted in transalpine commerce and, more recently, discreet private banking, a contrast that many guests on this route find genuinely interesting rather than merely picturesque. The Rosengart Collection, a short walk from the bridge, holds an outstanding gathering of works by Picasso and Klee. Given the island’s limited runway length, careful aircraft selection matters on departure, and operators experienced with Nantucket routinely factor this into planning. For travellers moving between two historic harbour towns on opposite sides of the Atlantic, this super mid-size sector offers an efficient and comfortable crossing. Given the island’s modest runway and the seasonal surge in private traffic each summer, travellers are generally advised to confirm slot availability at Nantucket Memorial Airport well in advance, particularly during the peak months when demand for this transatlantic corridor rises sharply.
