Private Jet Naples to Cavallo

Naples to Cavallo covers roughly 4,441 nautical miles, a transatlantic sector for which a heavy business jet such as the Gulfstream G550 or Bombardier Global 6000 is well suited, offering the range to fly non-stop while cruising near 45,000 feet above much of the weather encountered over the Atlantic and the approach into southern Europe. Naples Airport, serving Florida’s Gulf Coast, is the point of departure, with the routing tracking broadly north-east across the ocean before making landfall over the western Mediterranean. Cavallo, the destination, belongs to the Lavezzi archipelago, a cluster of granite islets between Corsica and Sardinia divided by the Bonifacio Strait, and has no airstrip of its own, so arrival is completed by helicopter from Figari-Sud Corse to the island’s private helistrip. There is a pleasing coincidence in the route’s name alone, linking Florida’s Naples with a Mediterranean island not far, geographically speaking, from the original Naples on the Italian mainland, though Cavallo’s own character owes more to the wild coves of Corsica than to any Neapolitan influence. For those departing Florida, the roughly seven-and-a-half-hour flight is a considerable but comfortable transatlantic journey, and the heavy jet’s cabin, with dedicated rest and work zones, makes the crossing a productive one, delivering passengers to one of the Mediterranean’s most private islands genuinely ready to enjoy it. Florida-based charter clients making this crossing frequently combine it with a wider Mediterranean itinerary, using Cavallo as a first stop before continuing on to the French or Italian mainland later in the same trip. The name coincidence aside, the two Naples share little beyond a certain Mediterranean sensibility, and travellers making the crossing often find the Florida-to-Corsica contrast more pronounced than the shared name might initially suggest.
