Private Jet Nizhny Novgorod to Porto Heli

The sector between Nizhny Novgorod and Porto Heli runs approximately 1,417 nautical miles, well within the range of a mid-size jet such as the Gulfstream G280, which cruises near 43,000 feet and completes the crossing of Eastern Europe and the Aegean in a little over three hours. Nizhny Novgorod International Airport serves one of Russia’s largest cities, set at the confluence of the Volga and Oka rivers, with a hilltop kremlin overlooking the water and a long history as a centre of trade dating back to its medieval fair. On arrival, passengers land at Porto Heli’s own small airport or Kalamata International Airport, both convenient for a resort town built around a sheltered bay on the Argolic Gulf in the Peloponnese. Porto Heli faces the island of Spetses across a short stretch of water, with Hydra a little further along the coast, and the historic town of Nafplio within easy reach for those wanting a change of scene. Pine-covered hills and olive groves surround the bay, giving it a calm, low-key atmosphere that has made it a favoured summer anchorage for superyachts seeking privacy over the crowds of the Cyclades. History is close by too, with the ancient theatre of Epidaurus and the Mycenaean citadel both within about forty minutes of landing. The stand-up cabin and steady cruise altitude typical of a mid-size jet make for a comfortable few hours in the air, suiting travellers moving between business along the Volga and a genuinely restful stretch of Greek coastline, all within a single direct flight.
