Private Jet Scottsdale to Newark

Scottsdale Airport sends private jets some 1,851 nautical miles east to Newark Liberty International Airport, a route that regularly calls for a mid-size or super mid-size jet, with the Challenger 350 and Gulfstream G280 both well suited to the cabin comfort and range the crossing demands. Cruising near 45,000 feet, the aircraft climbs well above the desert thermals of the Southwest before settling into a steady transcontinental track. Scottsdale itself, a hub for the Phoenix area’s business and resort community, offers one of the busier private aviation airports in the region, with facilities built around fast, unhurried departures rather than the queues of nearby Sky Harbor. From there the route crosses the high desert of New Mexico, the plains and the Appalachian ridgelines before descending into the dense airspace of the New York metropolitan area, with Newark positioned to put arriving passengers into Manhattan with minimal delay. The corridor is well travelled by real estate investors, seasonal residents and business travellers moving between Scottsdale’s golf and resort economy and the financial centres of the northeast. Timing a charter around desert mornings or late-afternoon meetings in New York is straightforward given the flexibility private aviation allows, and with private terminals at both ends, passengers avoid the security lines and gate changes that a commercial itinerary between these two cities would otherwise involve. Scottsdale’s spring training season and its calendar of golf and equestrian events keep private aviation demand along this route notably strong through the cooler months. Charter brokers in the area report particularly high demand during the Barrett-Jackson auction week, when private aviation traffic across the Valley spikes noticeably.
