Private Jet Shanghai to Capri

Shanghai and Capri lie approximately 4,910 nautical miles apart, a heavy-jet sector best flown aboard a Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500, both capable of the crossing without a fuel stop at cruise altitudes reaching up to 51,000 feet. Shanghai Pudong International Airport serves China’s financial capital, a city whose Bund waterfront and futuristic Pudong skyline sit on opposite banks of the Huangpu River, giving departing travellers a striking final view of modern Chinese commerce before the long westbound leg begins. Because Capri Heliport is unable to accept jets of this size, the standard routing lands first at Naples, with a short helicopter transfer completing the final approach to the island, arriving with the Faraglioni rising from the sea and the terraces of Capri town clearly visible from above. Once ashore, the Gardens of Augustus offer some of the best photographs on the island, looking down over Marina Piccola toward the sea stacks, while the Certosa di San Giacomo provides a quieter, more contemplative counterpoint nearby. Lemon groves surrounding the upper town supply the limoncello served in cafés each evening. This long-haul pairing suits travellers bridging Chinese commerce with an entirely different Mediterranean chapter, valued chiefly for turning what would otherwise be a demanding multi-stop commercial journey into a single, private, non-stop sector with a departure time set entirely around the traveller’s own schedule rather than an airline timetable. Given the distance and the number of time zones crossed, most itineraries also build in a short rest period for the crew before any return leg is scheduled.
