Private Jet St John to Gilbert

St John’s, the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, sits roughly 2,677 nautical miles from Gilbert, a sector well matched to a super mid-size or heavy business jet given the distance involved. Aircraft such as the Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280 cover the route efficiently, typically taking a little over four and a half hours, cruising in the low-to-mid forties across the Caribbean and Mexico toward the Arizona desert. Departures use VC Bird International Airport, serving an island nation famous for its marketing claim of three hundred and sixty-five beaches, one for every day of the year, along with the restored Georgian naval architecture of English Harbour and Nelson’s Dockyard. The route concludes at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, the private aviation facility of choice east of Phoenix, prized by operators for efficient handling and its distance from the congestion of the city’s main commercial gateway. Gilbert has grown into one of Arizona’s most sought-after suburbs over the past three decades, its wide grid of neighbourhoods interrupted by parks and golf courses and its downtown rebuilt from converted agricultural buildings. Antigua, by contrast, remains one of the Caribbean’s great sailing destinations, its annual Sailing Week drawing yachts from across the globe each spring to compete along its coastline. This sector particularly suits sailing enthusiasts, yacht owners and leisure travellers seeking a direct, private alternative to a lengthy connecting itinerary through a larger Caribbean or American hub. Shirley Heights, overlooking English Harbour, remains a popular spot for visitors to watch the sunset before returning to their yacht or hotel for the evening.
