Private Jet St. John’s to Tempe

St. John’s to Tempe covers approximately 2,763 nautical miles, a sector suited to a Gulfstream G280 or Challenger 350, both cruising near 43,000 feet for a flight of roughly five hours. Departures use St. John’s International Airport, serving the easternmost major city in North America, perched on the rocky Avalon Peninsula at the edge of the Atlantic, closer in some respects to Ireland than to much of mainland Canada. On arrival at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, passengers reach Tempe, a desert city organised around Tempe Town Lake, with Arizona State University driving much of the surrounding commercial and academic activity. St. John’s brightly painted row houses along Jellybean Row and its iconic Signal Hill overlooking the harbour entrance stand in sharp visual contrast to Tempe’s low-slung desert sprawl, two cities shaped by entirely different relationships with water, one maritime and foggy, the other landlocked and arid. A super mid-size cabin suits this sector comfortably, offering a private lavatory and a proper galley across five hours in the air. This route suits Newfoundland’s offshore energy and fishing industry executives with interests in the American Southwest, as well as travellers exploring one of Canada’s most distinctive regional cultures. The city’s compact downtown, lined with jellybean-coloured houses, remains one of the oldest urban settlements in North America, with a harbour history stretching back nearly five centuries to the earliest European fishing expeditions. Visitors with time before departure often drive out to Cape Spear, the easternmost point in North America, where a lighthouse still marks the edge of the continent.
