Private Jet St Tropez to Yonkers

St Tropez and Yonkers lie roughly 3,450 nautical miles apart, a crossing that calls for a long-range aircraft such as a Challenger 650 or Gulfstream G550, cruising near 43,000 feet across a flight of just under seven hours from the Var coast to the Hudson Valley. La Mole Airport, a small field set among vineyards a short drive from St Tropez itself, handles a summer season that transforms this once-quiet fishing village into one of the most concentrated hubs of private aviation and superyacht traffic anywhere in the Mediterranean. St Tropez’s reputation, built through decades of film stars and international society descending on its harbour each July and August, continues to draw a clientele whose travel patterns follow the town’s social calendar as closely as any business schedule. Arrival into Westchester County Airport brings passengers into Yonkers, within easy reach of Manhattan. Yacht owners and their guests, entertainment industry figures, and private clients with villas in the surrounding hills of the Var make up the bulk of this route’s summer traffic. La Mole’s limited runway capacity means slots become genuinely scarce during the height of the season, and operators consistently advise booking a transatlantic departure from St Tropez considerably further ahead than an equivalent journey from Nice or Cannes, since the small field simply cannot absorb the same surge in demand that the town’s July and August crowds bring each year. Beyond the harbour and its famous cafes, the hills above St Tropez conceal a quieter network of vineyards and hilltop villages including Ramatuelle and Gassin, and clients increasingly use a St Tropez base to explore this less publicised side of the Var, treating the town itself as one stop within a broader Provencal stay rather than the entirety of the visit.
