Private Jet Tortola to Glendale

Tortola, the largest of the British Virgin Islands, sits roughly 2,703 nautical miles from Glendale, Arizona, a distance suited to a super mid-size jet such as the Challenger 350. Departing Terrance B. Lettsome Airport, crews typically cruise near 41,000 feet, clear of the tropical weather common across the Eastern Caribbean, before a steady descent into the dry air of Arizona roughly five hours later. The airport’s moderate runway length suits a super mid-size jet comfortably, and fuel planning on this sector rarely presents any real constraint outside the peak of hurricane season. Glendale, part of metropolitan Phoenix, welcomes arriving passengers with the Sonoran Desert’s dry climate and direct proximity to State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals and site of Super Bowl LVII, along with the Westgate Entertainment District’s dining and live entertainment nearby. Arizona’s extensive golf resort industry offers a striking counterpoint to the British Virgin Islands’ famed sailing waters and reef-lined coastline. This route typically serves private clients with yachts or villas based in the BVI, along with charter-sector and hospitality business travellers, both groups favouring the directness and privacy of a dedicated aircraft over the limited scheduled service connecting these two very different markets. The British Virgin Islands’ status as one of the world’s leading yacht chartering destinations means demand on this route often peaks around major regattas and the winter sailing season, when private clients combine time on the water with onward travel to Arizona’s resort corridor. It remains a favourite among owners and charter guests with a strong sailing pedigree.
