Private Jet Vence to Montauk

The 3372 nautical mile passage from Vence to Montauk is among the more distinctive routings on the network. Vence is a hilltop village above the Cote d’Azur, long favoured by artists for its light and its medieval old town, and its proximity to Nice and the coast makes it a popular quieter counterpoint to the busier Riviera towns. The Gulfstream G280 is well matched to this pairing, with the legs and cabin comfort to make a sector of this length feel unhurried. Nice Cote d’Azur Airport is the departure point most commonly used, offering the discretion charter travellers expect. A wide cabin cross-section and private lavatory make the hours pass more comfortably than a standard first-class seat would. Customs and immigration formalities are generally handled at the FBO rather than a crowded terminal, sparing travellers the usual queues. A chartered aircraft also allows baggage, pets and equipment to travel without the constraints commercial cabins impose. Montauk’s charm lies in its contrasts, a working harbour beside Gosman’s Dock sitting only miles from quiet dune-backed beaches. Its exposed Atlantic position gives Montauk a wilder, breezier feel than the more sheltered villages along the Long Island Sound. Travellers drawn to this pairing tend to prize flexibility as much as comfort, and private charter delivers both in equal measure. Given the distances involved, most travellers on this route plan well in advance rather than booking at the last minute. From corporate travel to a well-earned holiday, the routing works equally well regardless of the reason for flying.
