Private Jet Exumas to Bakersfield

Exumas to Bakersfield spans approximately 2,347 nautical miles, a crossing that calls for a mid-size or super-mid-size jet such as the Citation Latitude or Gulfstream G280, typically completing the flight from Exuma Airport in around four and a half hours. Cruising near 43,000 feet, the aircraft clears the Bahamas’ shallow turquoise waters before crossing into more consistent air over the southern United States. Meadows Field Airport receives the flight into Bakersfield on arrival, a city whose economy runs on oil and agriculture, offering a calm, efficient entry point into California’s Central Valley for travellers continuing inland toward the Sierra Nevada foothills. The Exumas have become one of the Bahamas’ most sought-after private destinations, drawing yacht owners, second-home buyers, and a steady flow of visitors to the archipelago’s famous swimming pigs and secluded cays, and traffic on this pairing reflects that largely leisure-driven demand. Commercial connections between the Exumas and Bakersfield would require at least two changes of aircraft, typically through Nassau and a mainland hub, turning a direct four-and-a-half-hour charter into a journey spanning most of a day. The larger cabin option suits families and groups well, with room for the diving and watersports equipment a stay in the Exumas typically generates, and the flexibility to depart on a schedule set around the traveller’s own itinerary rather than an airline’s. Given the archipelago’s limited runway infrastructure, chartering also sidesteps the fuel and handling constraints that scheduled operators regularly face when serving this stretch of the Bahamas. This is one of the busier out-island sectors on the network, and demand tends to hold fairly steady across the winter and spring charter season.
