Private Jet Portofino to Podgorica

Covering approximately 530 miles, equivalent to some 461 nautical miles, the passage from the Ligurian coast to Podgorica is a light jet sector through and through, with the Phenom 300 and Citation CJ4 the natural choices given their balance of speed, range and cabin comfort for a flight of roughly ninety minutes. Both types cruise efficiently in the low-to-mid 40,000s feet, well above the weather that can gather over the Apennines and the Adriatic in equal measure. Genoa’s Cristoforo Colombo Airport serves as the practical departure point for guests staying in Portofino, its private aviation handling only a short transfer from the harbour where superyachts and vintage motor launches crowd the small bay beneath the pastel facades of the old fishing village. Arriving in Podgorica delivers travellers into an entirely different maritime culture, one shaped as much by Venetian and Ottoman history as by the Adriatic itself; the fortified old town of Kotor and the walled resort of Budva both echo, in their own way, the same seafaring heritage that gives Portofino its character, though on a grander and wilder scale. Guests with time to spare often continue north to the beaches around Sveti Stefan or inland to the vineyards near Skadar Lake. This route is particularly well suited to those already cruising or holidaying along the Italian Riviera who wish to extend their trip with a contrasting Adriatic chapter, moving from Portofino’s polished harbour scene to Montenegro’s rougher, more mountainous coastline in a single short flight rather than a multi-day repositioning by yacht or car.
