Private Jet Abacos to Oshawa

The Abacos to Oshawa covers around 1,060 nautical miles, a short sector well matched to a light jet or turboprop such as the Citation CJ4 or Pilatus PC-12, cruising between 35,000 and 41,000 feet for around two hours depending on aircraft type. Super mid-size jets also appear on this route for larger groups. Marsh Harbour’s Leonard M. Thompson International Airport serves the northern Bahamas’ most developed out-island chain, a region built on sailing, sport fishing and a steady community of second-home owners. Arrival is into Oshawa Executive Airport on Lake Ontario’s northern shore, in a city defined for decades by General Motors Canada’s manufacturing base and now also home to Ontario Tech University. Oshawa’s position within the Greater Toronto Area, generally under an hour from downtown Toronto, suits travellers whose business or family ties lie in the eastern suburbs. Hurricane season, from June through November, remains the chief seasonal factor operators weigh when scheduling flights through the Abacos, an area that has rebuilt steadily in recent years. Very light jets are occasionally flown on this route too, given the modest distance involved, though most operators favour the added comfort of a light jet cabin. This pairing suits Abaco’s community of seasonal residents, sport fishermen and sailors heading north for business or family visits, valuing the simplicity of a direct flight over the connections a commercial itinerary through Nassau would otherwise require. Given the short block time on this sector, many operators offer flexible same-day scheduling, a genuine advantage for owners making quick trips north to handle business before returning to the islands.
